1Barely functional  Feb 08, 2011 By Pump_on_speedball
I originally put a brass eagle 50 round hopper on top of my Chipley pump. It cracked on the first hit, but a little duct tape kept it in the game for years. I picked up this hopper thinking it was an improvement on the design.

It is not.

It only took one game for me to realize that this hopper barely fed at all. When I noticed I was shooting air in the middle of a game, I shook the hopper and fired again. Nothing. I shook it more violently. Nothing. I opened it up and poured some balls out, thinking they were jammed. Nothing. I turned the hopper and marker upside down, shook, then shot. Nothing.

That's exactly what this hopper is: nothing.

In the parking lot after the game, I figured I had done something wrong with the hopper to make it feed that badly (I honestly couldn't believe it was actually that bad), so I swapped back to my original duct taped brass eagle hopper. Instead of just pouring the paintballs into the opening for the hopper, I held the two feeding necks against eachother, GXG on top, and let it feed into the brass eagle. Except it didn't.

I shook the two around every which way. I twisted and turned and vibrated and gyrated, and I couldn't get more than a few balls out of the GXG hopper.

Incredibly frustrated at how a company could possibly make a hopper and never stop to check if paintballs actually exited it, I finally popped open the tops and emptied the GXG into the brass eagle, threw the GXG on the ground in the parking lot, and stomped on it, smashing it into pieces.

I know it was cheap, and I know I get what I pay for, but I wasn't mad about the money. I was mad that I was sold an UN-hopper. It was literally less efficient than a disposable water bottle filled with paintballs jammed into a feedneck. It didn't feed _poorly_, it REFUSED to feed.

PS: The top pops open at the slightest provocation.

Would not buy again :P

1Breaks if it by ball  Nov 13, 2010 By Jorge L. Garay "JorgeL"
This WILL break if hit by a paintball even from a far distance. both of my cracked up and lost the cap.

4Great for small markers  May 27, 2010 By Spunkweed "Jeff"
Got this for my girlfriend to use on her marker for its small size. In that respect it's perfect, but be forewarned, if you load it to the top, it will jam VERY easily. Also the lid is molded with the hopper itself so in terms of wear I couldn't say how long it will last.

2GXG 50 Round Pocket Pump Paintball Hopper - Black  Sep 19, 2010 By John Q. Adams "John"
My reviews are simple and straightforward.

The Good:
* Size - presents small target, hard to hit

The Bad:
* Used on semi-auto marker, could not get constant feed to save my life
* Lid is cheap, hinge is molded
* Slippery feedneck presents problems when clamping to marker

Bottom line: do not buy. This hopper is not suitable for any paintball play, it is a waste of money. Low quality and doesn't feed constant rate even for semi-auto or pump use.
Do not recommend.
